I'm pregnant with my first child and would like to use the montessori principals. it's nice to see a working example.<br /><br />I have a few questions if you don't mind helping me?<br /><br />1. I noticed that you have skirting boards (base boards) and bookshelves etc. I have the same and I'm in a rented house so can't change it. I'm worried that I wont be able to get the furniture against the wall and secure it. Do you have yours secured to the wall? Is it safe? (am I worrying over something unnecessarily?)<br /><br />2. The bed that you have on the floor, is it just a normal mattress? Are there any hygiene concerns about having a bed on the floor?
